POSITION SUMMARY:

The successful person in the position will detect and gather of evidence to act upon non-compliant activities by health practitioners.  This includes monitoring, auditing or inspecting health practitioners, such as pharmacists, medical practitioners, nurse practitioners, nurses, dentists and veterinary practitioners. 

In particular, the role will include a focus on compliance, maintenance, reporting and auditing activities related to Victoria's real-time prescription monitoring system, SafeScript.

The role will report on and promote compliance and prepare procedures and guidance to support the Health Practitioner Compliance Unit. The person may represent the branch or department at relevant external meetings within a local and national regulatory framework. 

The person will also investigate and provide relevant project management on the regulation of medicines and poisons for senior managers and others

While the position will be largely office based, it's possible that the job may require some field work in both metropolitan and rural areas of Victoria.
