An exciting and unique opportunity exists for a talented and passionate individual to join the Strategic Communications, Engagement and Protocol branch (SCEP) as Senior Content Adviser at the Department of Premier and Cabinet.

The Strategic Communication, Engagement and Protocol (SCEP) branch provides specialist communication and protocol advice and support to DPC and the Premier's Private Office.

The Senior Content Adviser is responsible for delivering the Department of Premier and Cabinet's digital content strategy, to support the delivery of communications and engagement priorities. The Content Adviser will support stakeholders across the department to deliver high-quality and effective digital content by delivering training, conducting user testing and analysing channel analytics to continuously improve how we communicate with our audiences in online environments.

We're looking for a quality Senior Digital Content person with a passion for delivering work in a fast paced environment. You will be responsible for driving the Department of Premier and Cabinet's digital content strategy, to support the delivery of communications and engagement priorities.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you will bring:

  • Proven ability to lead on content development, user testing and delivery and manage stakeholder relationships with minimal direction, demonstrating sound judgement and identifying and escalating potential risks and issues as required.
  • Proven ability to deliver content strategies that have clearly defined objectives and steps for achieving them and are measurable, demonstrated experience in analytics reporting, monitoring and evaluation as part of continuous improvement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proven ability to develop and deliver high-quality, innovative WCAG compliant content and materials through a variety of channels, solid knowledge and understanding of online communities, digital and social trends.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and negotiation skills, with an ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, provide timely and accurate advice and work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to apply understanding of organisational context to predict and prepare for the impact of events and emerging issues and understand the impact of external events and changing stakeholder needs on the organisation and government.
