About COVID-19 Quarantine Victoria

COVID-19 Quarantine Victoria (CQV) is responsible for Victoria's COVID-19 accommodation response, including quarantine for returned overseas travellers and emergency accommodation for people unable to safely isolate in their homes.

About The Role

Reporting to the Manager – Strategic Reporting, you will play an integral part in supporting CQV's operations through preparation of daily data reports & the provision of high quality data analytics & advice.

The Policy and Strategy Group within CQV oversees the development and coordination of CQV policy, forward strategy and planning, ministerial engagement and cabinet processes, and provision of legal advice. The group also has responsibility for data, reporting and performance insights, fee recovery, technology and digital solutions.

Weekend work is a requirement of this role. Some work outside of usual business hours on weekdays may be required from time to time as well.

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Develop and deliver strategic and operational reports across CQV that provide senior stakeholders with relevant, timely and accurate business intelligence to inform decision-making
  • Leverage subject matter expertise in data analysis, visualisation and reporting to communicate data analytics and insights on emerging issues, trends, threats and opportunities across the program
  • Contribute to the maintenance of data quality and integrity across a range of CQV systems by identifying and communicating issues and errors
  • Establish and develop successful and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders at both the senior and local level, supporting the shared objectives of CQV and upholding its values

About You

Experience in the provision of data analysis, reporting and/or visualisation for senior stakeholders within a volume driven environment will be highly regarded.

  • Data Literacy – Considers data sources, collection and structure impacts in the delivery of data analysis. Generates descriptive statistics and relevant data visualisation leading to decisions under the guidance from subject matter experts
  • Critical Thinking and Problem Solving - Resolves issues through deep understanding or interpretation of existing guidelines
  • Stakeholder Management - Takes steps to add value for the client or stakeholder
