The role of Automation Engineer requires hands-on development of automation solutions in the IT Infrastructure area. This includes designing and developing automations using programming and scripting languages, integrating automations with other IT systems, setting up CI-CD pipelines for these automations and implementing/launching these automations in production

Job Requirements:

• IT Infrastructure experience and knowledge – Exposure in areas like Windows and Unix server management, server patch management, data centre hosting
• Programming skills – like Power Shell, Python etc
• CI-CD experience – Git, automated builds, Automated tests, automated release pipelines
• Experience or knowledge in using ServiceNow – ServiceNow APIs, ServiceNow integrations, ServiceNow CMDB
• Desire to learn new technical skills

Day to Day you will have the opportunity to:

• Use your design and development skills and create innovative automation solutions in IT Infrastructure space
• Use your Programming/scripting skills, CI-CD skills and DevOps skills
• Work with different teams and stakeholders in the IT Infrastructure space – Platform Hosting, Windows/Unix, Cloud, IaaS, Storage
• Learn more about automation, Infrastructure-as-code, cloud, APIs, Orchestration
• Learn how automations can increase IT resilience, IT security, standardisation, productivity and speed of service fulfilment
