The Position 

Position Title: Senior Intake Clinician 
Classification: RPN4, SW3, OT3
Salary per hour (exc. super): Dependent on qualification
Hours per fortnight: Up to 80 hours - Full time or part time can be negotiated
Employment Status: Ongoing

Key Responsibilities:



  • Provide strong leadership, support and clinical supervision to the Intake team.

  • Co-ordinate and provide intake services to Child and Adolescent clients, providing, assessment, clinical treatment and support for young people, their families and carers. 

  • Work alongside the management group to embed service enhancements

  • Continuously monitor intake standards across the region and recommend improvements.

  • Engage and establish strong links with other key agencies and service providers (internal and external).

  • Participate in community consultation, awareness, education and develop community resources to increase the understanding of mental health issues around young people and families.

CAMHS is a community based, multi-disciplinary team that works with children and adolescents 0 - 18 years who are displaying serious emotional, relationship, personal care or behavioural disturbances that impact on family and social relationships and/or their functioning in school or the workplace. Family sensitive practice is central to our models of mental health care and best practice ensures the identification, inclusion and support of families, carers and children.
