An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated experienced investigator and team player to join the Investigations Unit, Quality Assessment and Regulation Division (QARD), in the Department of Education and Training, the Victorian Regulatory Authority for early childhood education and care services as a Senior Investigations Officer. Location: Melbourne CBD office / Flexible work location

About the Role

Senior Investigations Officer

The Senior Investigations Officer, Investigations Unit, will be responsible for leading serious and complex investigations, investigative planning and providing advice and recommendations on investigations, sanctions and other compliance matters within the regulatory framework. The position requires strong quality and compliance reporting skills, strong interviewing and statement taking experience, demonstrated experience in conducting complex investigations and assessments and a knowledge of the broader regulatory and Early Childhood environment.

Senior Investigations Officers are a state-wide resource and are often required to travel for the purposes of obtaining statements and carrying out operational duties including surveillance.

The successful candidate will also have demonstrated experience in effective management of relationships with internal and external stakeholders and high-level interpersonal skills. Demonstrated experience in providing briefs of evidence and other high level written communications would be advantageous.

 

This is a full time, ongoing position at VPS5 level based in Melbourne.
