There are multiple positions available for experienced Senior Manager, Data Analytics in the Delivery Group within the Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions.

The Delivery Group supports the effective and efficient delivery of high priority departmental projects and grant programs, from program design and sequencing, through to development, delivery, monitoring and program close. In so doing, the Delivery Group ensures the delivery of programs that are critical to the Victorian community and economy.

As the Senior Manager, Data and Analytics, you will work within the Delivery Group which supports the effective and efficient delivery of high priority departmental projects and grant programs that are critical to the Victorian community and economy.

This position will lead and work with teams across multiple delivery groups, stakeholders and decision-makers to drive continuous improvement in data and reporting processes, contributing directly to the successful delivery of high priority projects and programs.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Lead conceptualisation and development of data models, automation systems, reports and dashboards and performance metrics to generate key insights that drive business and policy decisions.
  2. Develop and design strategies for processing data as per grant program policy requirements
  3. Provide strategic advice and support planning processes for key stakeholders in relation to data management and data engineering for grants programs.
  4. Undertake complex analysis of data and apply data mining techniques to support process improvement and build data analysis expertise across the group.
  5. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to collect requirements, evaluate effectiveness of reports, address issues and concerns and identify workable solutions.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated capability leading high performing teams to achieve positive and successful outcomes combined with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Highly developed conceptual and analytical skills with an ability to extract insight to support evidence-based decision making will be essential.
