Status: Fixed-Term, 24-month contract, 76.0 hours per fortnight (negotiable). Flexible working options – full-time or part-time hours will be considered.
As the largest healthcare provider in East Gippsland, Bairnsdale Regional Health Service (BRHS) provides services to a rapidly growing population. The BRHS Medical Workforce provides services across a broad spectrum of care including our Emergency Department which currently receives approximately 20,000 varied presentations per year.
An exciting opportunity exists for a highly experienced Medical Officer to join our Medical Workforce team and enjoy a fantastic work/life balance residing on the stunning Gippsland Lakes. If you are a Senior Medical Officer looking for a lifestyle change and wanting to maintain your clinical and procedural skills in a leadership position then this role will provide you with the perfect platform.
The Position:
You will provide senior medical support to the BRHS Emergency Department (ED) and other areas as required by delivering high-quality and locally appropriate medical care. You will provide leadership and supervision to our Interns, Hospital Medical Officers and Registrars and provide expert input into clinical governance activities. Specialist rural and remote training pathways exist and applicants with these career aspirations will be supported and encouraged to undertake further training.
