  • Annual Salary Range: VPS<grade> $88,955 - $100,930 per annum plus superannuation

  • Employment Type: Fixed Term, Full-Time -July 2023

  • Usual Work Location: Melbourne CBD (flexibility may be available)

About the Opportunity

The Senior Payroll Adviser is responsible for the provision of operational payrolls services across DoT, including payroll and associated HRIS management, workforce reporting, administration of staff movements, and general advice.

Oversee and deliver a range of people administration andpayroll services to a range of client groups within DOT.
Provide guidance to the Payroll Services team including oversight of process improvement across the function
Autonomously undertake investigations into, troubleshoot and resolve complex employment or payroll matters and recommend suitable courses of action or solutions.

About You

The skills and experience required in the position include, but are not limited to the following:
Practical experience working in a similar role encompassing operations & service delivery
Demonstrated experience in providing high quality payroll and HR Information Systems, including system implementation, administration and maintenance, the ability to resolve problems, develop solutions and achieve results along with the ability to undertake investigations and systems related project activities.
Sound working knowledge and understanding of how relevant agreements, legislation, policies and procedures relate to the delivery of payroll.
Desirable

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant or related field.
