The Opportunity

Bring your people partnership expertise and passion to join VicGrid's evolving people function. Supported by the Program Manager while the People function is established, this new role is pivotal in VicGrid's establishment as an Administrative Office. A true partnership role, the Senior People Partner will provide a range of business and solutions focussed people advice, coaching and support to people leaders and team members across VicGrid.

Your expertise as a seasoned people and culture professional will motivate and inspire the broader People team, fostering a culture of excellence in customer service through expert, efficient, and contemporary advice, mentorship, and bespoke business solutions.

What you will deliver

  • As the primary point of contact for people enquiries in VicGrid, you will provide professional and business-focussed people, performance and culture services on a range of matters across the employment lifecycle in accordance with DEECA and VPS policies and procedures.
  • Proactive partnership with people leaders across VicGrid, embedding yourself as a trusted advisor within the business providing coaching, support and enablement of managers for all aspects of people management and workforce planning.
  • Positive and effective engagement with DEECA People and Culture teams to effectively deliver in VicGrid's people agenda and other people focussed activities in accordance with the Service Level Agreement.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of a range of people frameworks and initiatives ranging from core people processes through to culture and transformation activities to drive high performance across VicGrid.
  • You will analyse trends and people metrics to support evidence-based business cases and workplace discussions, allowing you to drive people initiatives based on data.

What you will bring

  • Experience in a senior generalist role partnering with people leaders, providing advice, coaching and support in a complex matrix operating environment.
  • Track record and knowledge of best practice approaches to people and culture, including the ability to interpret and apply legislative and policy requirements. 
  • Your confidence communicating with a range of stakeholders across all levels, including your meticulous attention to detail reflected I your written skills.
  • You will be a driven, analytical and detail orientated individual who is keen to join a team with the aim of building the capability of VicGrid team members.
