The Senior Project Officer will work on projects to develop better regulatory practice under the Food Act 1984 by local government and the Department of Health Food Safety Unit. These projects will be guided by the recommendations of the Small Business Regulation Review (Retail): Food Safety Reforms contained in the Draft Action Statement on the Small Business Victoria website https://engage.vic.gov.au/smallbizreview/small-business-regulation-review-retail.

You will also be working on the FoodTrader project, which is the delivery of an online digital service for all food businesses registered under the Victorian Food Act 1984.

You will work as part of a team to design, deliver, review and refine the suite of learning programs provided to local government Food Act authorised officers (primarily Environmental Health Officers). The role will also consult and negotiate with a range of stakeholders to ensure the content and suite of the learning programs meet the departments requirements.

The role will also contribute to projects across the Food Safety Unit.
