(2x) Senior Project Officer, Workforce Capability – VPS5 – Fixed term to 27/06/2025

What you'll do

As a senior member of the Rapid Response Pilot team, you will be required to lead a variety of key aspects of the project. You will have the opportunity to take a whole of government approach to staff mobility in times of need.  You will work with stakeholders across the VPS as well as lessons learned from phase 2 of the pilot to maintain and improve our prototype into phase 3. You will also have the opportunity to utilise your policy skills to undertake in-depth research into Emergency Management entitlements and conditions to form policy positions for the future.

The Senior Project Officer contributes to the development of high-quality initiatives to support mobility throughout the VPS. This is a high-profile project for the VPSC, the role will suit someone with a strong track record of contributing to complex projects through their entire lifecycle. Effective communication skills both written and verbal is important to be successful in this role. A proven track record in undertaking policy analysis and providing policy advice to senior audiences would be advantageous.
