To deliver transport priorities through the development and delivery of an integrated pipeline of projects and support the Major Transport Infrastructure Program.

Primary purpose of this role

The primary responsibilities of the Senior Property Officer, Land Acquisition are to assist the Manager Project on a range of real estate property projects to contribute to the achievement of outcomes consistent with the Government's social, economic and environmental objectives.  

Key role requirements 

  • Land acquisition: Understanding of compulsory acquisition processes and the key areas of risk to project delivery. A strong knowledge of the operation of legislation including the Transport Integration Act 2010, the Major Transport Projects Facilitation Act 2009 and the Land Acquisition and Compensation Act 1986. 
  • Government Land: Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of statutory and government policies and procedures
  • Relationship building:  Ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders and utilise such relationships in the planning and administration of acquisition  
  • Teamwork:  Cooperates and works well with others in the pursuit of team goals; Collaborates and shares information; 
  • Verbal Communication:  Confidently conveys ideas and information in a clear and interesting way; Clearly understands the target audience and the objectives of the communication;
  • Written Communication: Exceptional writing and editing skills and the proven capacity to deal with complex, confidential and sensitive information 
  • Conceptual and analytical ability: Deals with concepts and complexity comfortably
