The purpose of the Investment and Technology Group is to provide investment strategy and deliver commercial and enterprise-wide information technology services to drive high performance and improved commercial outcomes for the State. The Enterprise Technology division provides enterprise technologies including Corporate Systems, Enterprise IT (such as Workplace, Service Desk, Infrastructure, Cyber, and IT operations), and data platforms together with organisation-wide data.

About the Role

This position is Fixed Term, Full time until 18/03/2026.

This role sits within Solution Design and Delivery Branch within Enterprise Technology Division and the primary purpose of this role is to design, implement, and maintain secure IDAM and network solutions. You will collaborate with solution architects, operations team, and vendors to design IDAM and network services aligned with DTP objectives and meet business outcomes in a timely manner.  You will also be responsible to identify and resolve issues related to IDAM and network services.

We are seeking for a Senior Technical Specialist with extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining Identity and Access Management (IDAM) solutions and secure networks, as well as collaborating with architects and vendors to troubleshoot and deliver these systems. The preferred candidate would have worked in large enterprises with complex IDAM solutions and complex segemented secure networks. They must have extensive experience in cloud and on-premise IDAM technologies such as MS Azure AD, MS AD, MS ADFS, NetIQ, etc.

Position Outcomes

The individual needs to design and configure secure network services and authentication mechanisms for both private and public clouds, manage identity governance, and respond to related incidents while collaborating with the cybersecurity team. Influence IT strategies, negotiate with stakeholders, and develop policies to ensure alignment with organizational goals and compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications and Experience

Mandatory

  • Strong demonstrated experience in design, implementation, and maintenance of IDAM solutions.
  • Strong demonstrated experience in design, implementation, and maintenance of secure networks.
  • Appropriate tertiary qualification or extensive experience relevant to the capabilities of the role.
