What You Will Be Doing Carinya Residential Aged Care is a 26-bed purpose built Aged Persons Mental Health Residential Care Facility designed to provide high level specialist care to residents with complex mental health diagnoses.As the Grade 2 Social Worker, you will work within the multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional quality care to residents and their families and carers. You will undertake assessments, identify appropriate interventions and contribute to discharge planning.This is a part time position working 2 days / week (30 hours / fortnight).
What You NeedWe anticipate you will have:•Minimum two years post-qualifying professional experience in a hospital or related setting•Member or eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers•Clinical understanding of the treatment for mental illness provided in inpatient, residential or community settings and working knowledge of community support services•Excellent skills in comprehensive assessments, discharge planning and counselling•Advanced demonstrated knowledge and application of Social Work theory and recovery orientated practice in mental health care)
