Reference: MR4PA

Occupation: Health and Allied Health

Salary Range: Salary not specified

Work location: North East Region | Murrindindi

Alexandra District Health and Yea and District Memorial Hospital are the two major health services within the Shire of Murrindindi. We both have a long and proud history in health-related service provision to the area, providing inpatient, outpatient services, aged care and community health services. Located less than 90 minutes’ drive from Melbourne, the services offer a rural lifestyle enjoyed by walkers, cyclists, skiers and anyone who loves peaceful living, great cafés and a beautiful natural environment.

Flexibility exists for one or more passionate Speech Pathologists to join our multidisciplinary Primary Health teams, servicing a mixed caseload or working as a specialist paediatric or specialist adult Speech Pathologist, depending on your experience and area of interest.

The role of the Speech Pathologist across our two services is well varied and always rewarding. It includes assessment, treatment and management of a broad range of clients in the community and inpatient setting, including children and adults with communication or swallowing disorders, and those with difficulties in speech, language, voice, fluency and literacy. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with families, people living with disabilities, local schools and other organisations to deliver Speech Pathology services, staff education and promote the importance of early intervention. You will also provide a regular Speech Pathology service to our local aged care facilities.

The successful candidate will be well supported within a close-knit team of allied health professionals, as well as via clinical supervision and education opportunities. You will be client focused, demonstrate effective interpersonal and written communication skills, be able to work autonomously and manage a busy workload and have the ability to function as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team. Support with short term accommodation may be an option for those relocating.

Applications must address the Key Selection Criteria.

For questions regarding the position please contact Chris Wasley, Primary Health Manager on 57720900 or Christine.Wasley@adh.org.au. A position description is available from our websites: www.adh.org.au.  or www.yeahospital.org.au

Applications close 31st May 2024, close of business.
