About the Department

The role of the Department of Education is to support Victorians to build prosperous, socially engaged, happy and healthy lives. It does this by supporting lifelong learning and healthy development, strengthening families and helping to equip people with the skills and knowledge for a 21st century economy and society.

About the Division

All product delivery requires alignment with the department's approved enterprise architecture to enable an innovative approach to delivery, including experience design and agile methods to meet increasing demand.   The provision of ‘Discovery' methodology and capability will support the portfolio management function to prioritise.

About the Role

A fixed term opportunity exists in the Digital Design & Innovation Branch in the Information Management and Technology Division (IMTD).

The purpose of this role is to manage a team of developers in the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of the Salesforce platform. The Squad Lead will work closely with stakeholders to align Salesforce capabilities with business objectives, ensure data integrity, and continuously optimise the platform's performance. 

This position requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and project management capabilities to deliver quality IT services.

Attributes

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • Demonstrated ability to manage a team of developers in the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of the Salesforce platform
  • Demonstated ability to leader, mentor and provide guidance to the Salesforce platform team
  • Ability to manage relationships with external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to provide regular reporting on performance standards such as timelines, budgets, quality of outcomes/outputs

 

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Extensive Salesforce platform knowledge (5+ years)
  • Previous experience working in a Squad Lead role or similar
