Exciting opportunity for a skilled and passionate Psychologist, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker to contribute to the important work of our Student Support Services (SSS) team in Bendigo.

The Department of Education is looking for skilled and passionate Psychologist, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker to contribute to the important work of our Student Support Services (SSS) teams in supporting schools to address the barriers that impact on student(s) access, preparation, and progress to achieving their educational goals and development potential.

If you are passionate about child and adolescent development, trauma informed practices, complex presentations and consulting with educational staff around behavioural and environmental adjustments to support learning engagement, and like working in a collaborative multidisciplinary team - then a role in the Student Support Services is the job for you.

This role involves collaboration with other SSS team members to provide assessment, consultation, support, and program advice to improve teaching, learning and wellbeing strategies for students requiring support. Other key components of the role include highly developed communication skills including report-writing, networking, and interpersonal skills that enable effective liaison with a range of people in the education community and beyond, and the ability to work autonomously.

Required:

Psychologist: A graduate or post-graduate qualification in psychology; full Registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency (AHPRA).

Occupational Therapist: A graduate or post-graduate qualification in Occupational Therapy; registration as an occupational therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Social Worker: A graduate or post-graduate degree in social work or equivalent; eligibility for membership of the Australia Association of Social Workers

Applicants must have a current Australian Driver's Licence and Working with Children Check.
