About us

Community Correctional Services (CCS) is a state-wide service providing for the management of offenders on court orders, serious sex offenders on post sentence supervision and prisoners on parole. In this role CCS helps offenders break the cycle of offending, ensures court and parole order conditions are met and, where they are not, prosecutes breaches in court or engages the Adult Parole Board.

CCS plays a vital role in contributing to the safety of the community by:

• Applying case management practice that reduces reoffending,
• Engaging offenders to build responsibility, and
• Connecting offenders to programs, services and community.

About the role

Supervisors within Court Case Management are responsible for leading and developing a team of case officers, case managers and advanced case managers. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for developing and monitoring performance case management staff and promote continuous improvement; by enhancing your team's capacity, you will focus on the importance of client engagement and rehabilitation to ensure you deliver best practice case management services.

Some of the key accountabilities of this role include:

• Leading and developing a team of case management staff, facilitating the allocation of workloads, and providing professional supervision, coaching and mentoring to enhance staff capacity to deliver best practice case management services. 
• Developing and monitoring the performance of case management.
• Providing case consultation support to staff and facilitating team and individual based coaching to strengthen practice and support professional development opportunities. Promoting continuous improvement activities and approaches and ensuring effective quality assurance practices and procedures are in place. 

The position will be required to adhere to local or regional rostering arrangements and other staffing management practices as directed.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• experience in and knowledge of best practice case management frameworks, including the provision of needs assessment in a human services context
• an understanding and capability in leading, managing and developing a team responsible for operational service delivery
• an ability to implement theoretical concepts to reduce risk and maximise individual outcomes
• experience and knowledge in workload allocation while leading a team or providing coaching to junior staff members

Qualifications

A relevant qualification in social work, human services or criminal justice with experience in a related field is also desirable.
