About us

The People and Workplace Services (PWS) business unit provides a range of services supporting our people and workplaces, including human resource policy and strategy; organisational culture and change; recruitment and retention; performance and development; pay, benefits and workforce reporting; safety and wellbeing; workplace relations; and employee conduct. About the role

The System Administrator is responsible for providing administrational support for DJCS staff in the use of various Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS). This role is responsible for the service delivery of the Government Identity Provisioning Service (GIPS).

As the System Administrator you will be responsible for:

  • supporting staff responsible for providing second level application support services for the GIPS application.
  • providing authoritative advice and consultation services to staff in relation to the GIPS solution and its implementation within the department.
  • establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with administrators of connected systems.
  • managing and maintaining GIPS related intranet content, training and support materials.

About you

As our ideal candidate you will have:

  • demonstrated experience in applying advanced computer skills to complex word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, or database functions.
  • the ability to use specialist knowledge and expertise to address complex problems, gathering relevant information and testing a range of solutions and outcomes.
  • the ability to establish relationships with stakeholders, develop effective stakeholder-oriented responses, and assess, develop and negotiate innovative solutions to complex issues.
  • experience in using Human Resource Information Systems (desirable).
