Level Crossing Removal Project

About the role:

As part of the dynamic and results-driven Talent Acquisition Team you will help our hiring managers within the business recruit great people for their teams, and in the best way possible. We aren't like other government departments – we get to have a bit of fun with the way we recruit, and tailor processes to suit the roles we're recruiting.

Some of the things you'll be doing regularly are:

  • Recruiting (that's a given)
  • Running multiple end to end recruitment processes simultaneously (advertising, screening, shortlisting, interviewing, onboarding)
  • Supporting managers and candidates throughout the recruitment journey
  • Assisting, leading and identifying talent process improvement projects. We're big on innovation and want to make sure we're always doing things the best way we can
  • Engaging with candidates – even if you're not actively recruiting them

This is a full-time 6-month contract, and we are still working remotely (from home) until further notice. When we are eventually allowed back into the office, it won't be mandatory to work from the office on a full-time basis. There will be some contact hours required, however we will establish a nice mix of working from home and the office throughout the week.

About you

Having full end to end recruitment experience is good, and a flare for getting creative and working with people is a must. If you have no qualms in picking up the phone and giving someone a call or reaching out to people you haven't met before and saying g'day, then you will have a great time working with us.

Communication is key in this role, along with the ability to identify ways to do things better. We are always looking to improve, grow and learn – and ideally you are the same. We care about our candidates A LOT – and so experience in providing a high level of candidate care would be great.

Having a strong sense of purpose in helping LXRP deliver on transforming the way Victorians live, work and travel is a must.

About us

At LXRP, we're not just removing level crossings, we are removing barriers and creating legacies for our communities for years to come. Inclusion is a priority for us and we are committed to creating an employee community that reflects those in which we work.

  • We value our role as leaders to actively increase female representation in the transport sector through practical support, professional development and exposure to career opportunities.
  • We are proud leaders and participants of internship programs that provide opportunities to people who identify as LGBTIQ, people living with a disability, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, refugees or asylum seekers or people from low socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • We offer and encourage flexible work practices and purchased leave arrangements for all of our employees to support wellbeing, family or carer commitments or other personal circumstances.
  • We place great importance on growth, empowering our people to enhance their knowledge, capability and experience through continual learning, formal training and lessons learned.
  • Health, safety and wellbeing are at the heart of what we do. We focus on the physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of our people to create a safe and healthy workplace for everyone, every day, everywhere.

What next?

If we've sparked your interest, feel free to send through your CV via the ‘apply now' link.  There will be 2 questions to answer in the application – tell us why you want to work with us, and what skills you bring that match what we've spoken about above.

To note - we don't need you to provide key selection criteria, or to specifically address it in any way. A CV and answering the 2 questions in the application form is enough.
