THE ROLE

As a Team Leader you will be responsible to provide leadership and direction to the team of Housing Customer Service Officers (HCSO's) and VPS3 Technical Support Officer whilst allocating and managing workloads. Auditing and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs), providing one on one feedback with team members and promoting staff development will form vital aspects of the roll.

High analytical capabilities are required to balance staffing levels with forecasted work volume demands and tracking any impacts to this including mitigation strategies used to combat these . Support will be provided by the Service Delivery & Systems Manager in developing and motivating staff, whilst meeting the accuracy, quality and service standards set. 

The Team Leader will use their honed engagement capabilities to collaborate with stakeholders across the state to enhance outcomes for clients in Children and Families Care Services and Specialist Disability Accommodtion (SDA) through the delivery of prompt maintenance services.  This role provides the chance to improve the living environment for our young people in care services and residents in special disability settings.

The Team Leader will oversee operations of the Children and Families Care Services and SDA programs, includingstakeholder management, IT, complaints,escalations and administrative functions.  The Team Leader will play a crucial role in understanding the needs of the service partners' programs.   The role is responsible in providing reporting, navigating and manipulating PowerBI dashboards and other adhoc reporting.

In addition ot these tasks, you will also contribute to the overall management through participation as part of the HCC Leadership Team, contributing to decision making with regards to the HCC future development and departmental strategies.

The role is required to work a rotating shift between the hours of 7.00 am – 7.00 pm weekdays.

  • Effectively supervise and provide leadership to a team of employees by:

    • supporting individuals to achieve their potential while maximising their contribution to achieve their goals and outcomes.  Complete and document regular 1:1 meetings with team members to provide ongoing feedback
    • where relevant, support specific improvement objectives in annual improvement plans relating to the area of responsibility
    • building and maintaining positive relationships with peers and stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Manage, interpret and apply business plans and policies in own area of responsibility and provide advice to others on design and implementation issues.
