An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and dynamic Team Leader to develop and lead the interdisciplinary team within the Cognitive, Dementia and Memory Service (CDAMS) & Continence Service at Eastern Health.



The Cognitive, Dementia and Memory Service (CDAMS) is a specialist diagnostic clinic for people with early cognitive changes or people experiencing memory loss. The service provides expert clinical diagnosis, referral for appropriate investigations or other service providers. It also offers education, advice and support to assist patients and families to manage the condition.



Continence Service is a specialist clinic for people with bladder and/or bowel dysfunction referred for continence assessment and management. The service provides expert assessment, investigations, provisional diagnosis and treatment for these conditions. It also offers management measures, advice and support to assist clients with bladder and bowel issues.



The ideal candidate:



Experience in the area of cognitive dementia & / or continence management, the ability to collaboratively lead an interdisciplinary team and as well as skills in managing daily service operations and clinical staff is essential. This role will promote an integrated ambulatory specialist clinics service that is consistent with the missions and values of Eastern Health.



This position will suit a senior health professional with relevant clinical background demonstrating strong leadership, communication, service administration, quality improvement and benchmarking skills.


This role is expected to lead and develop the operations of the CDAMS & Continence services whilst providing leadership support and clinical advice to other Eastern Health services as required.


The successful applicant will need to demonstrate high level of analytical thinking and investigative skills involving research, benchmarking and resource identification including innovative service delivery models; demonstrates leadership skills including competencies in decision making and in handling a range of complex issues including organisational change, staff competencies, conflict resolution and collaboration.



You will also be expected to supervise and guide the professional development of individuals and the interdisciplinary team. You will work with the other Senior Clinicians and Manager (Rehabilitation & Ambulatory Specialist Clinics) to drive the professional and operational performance of the interdisciplinary teams and ensure key performance indicators and targets for the program are achieved on a monthly basis.
