TEAM LEADER STATUTORY PLANNER
Salary range - $103,920 - $125,735 per annum plus superannuation
Employment type - ongoing, full time (the department provides flexible working arrangements)
Usual work location - Ballarat
About the role
The Team Leader Statutory Planner will lead and manage the region's responses to statutory planning referrals, including VCAT and panel hearing submissions. This role will also lead the delivery of all aspects of the region's external works program as well as the professional development of staff, ensuring relevant knowledge and expertise is maintained.
About You
As our ideal applicant, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills:
• Implement well developed managerial skills to lead and manage the region's responses to statutory planning referrals, including VCAT and panel hearing submissions.
• Lead the delivery of all aspects of the Regions external works program.
• Guide the professional development of staff, ensuring relevant knowledge and expertise is maintained.
• Provide expert advice to internal/external stakeholders, effectively building and maintaining relationships to achieve successful business outcomes.
• Exercise independent judgement in extensive planning and work scheduling matters where resources objectives and methods are only partially defined.
• Apply creative and advanced problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues where policies, guidelines and/or precedents are not readily available.
