The Department of Premier and Cabinet has an exciting opportunity available for a skilled Technical Account Manager to join our Digital Design and Innovation (DDI) branch as part of the Single Digital Presence (SDP) team.

Working within our DDI branch, you will be optimistic about the power of design and technology to tackle the complex and interconnected problems facing the government of the day.

As the Technical Account Manager, you will act as a key contact for government clients of SDP, collaborating with their stakeholders and internal product teams on how to adopt and maximise the use of SDP products and services to meet their digital vision and needs.

This role will act as a bridge between the SDP team and government clients therefore the key to success will be a strong technical background, advanced analytical skills and the ability to explain complex technical solutions to any audience.

Your experience with modern day website architecture will help you develop a deep understanding of the SDP catalogue of services including a Drupal content management system, a front-end component library and a Kubernetes-based Docker container platform.

Additionally, you will be able to develop a working knowledge of how DDI's other IT Platforms, or clients' third-party services might form a part of a more holistic solution.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • Experience in the IT industry managing technical accounts for Enterprise and/or Government clients 
  • An approachable and friendly attitude with demonstrated experience establishing trusting relationships with clients.
  • Experience in the scoping and delivery of technical solutions at scale, with exposure to both waterfall and agile methodologies
  • Demonstrated experience in the management of ongoing website support and maintaince through service level agreements, and the associated reporting cadence
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
