The Senior Technical Engineer - Structural is a subject matter expert role within the Engineering team. Providing technical leadership to support the planning, procurement, and delivery phases of health capital projects, you will:

  • Optimise project scope of works to deliver the best value for the state for health projects
  • Undertake design reviews of technical documentation
  • Provide advice on structural engineering services design and operational implications
  • Work with multiple stakeholders, influencing key project decisions
  • Deliver high quality projects to scope, on time, and on budget

What you will need to be successful

We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer with experience providing specialist technical structural engineering related advice. Positive engagement with multiple stakeholders to influence key project decisions is critical in this role and you will need:

  • Knowledge in structural engineering within major projects and construction
  • Demonstrated understanding of the planning, design, and/or construction of hospital facilities or major health related infrastructure projects, particularly structural engineering related issues
  • Manage and interface with technical advisors and other stakeholders
  • Understanding of building façade construction techniques
  • Experience in providing authoritative quality advice

An appropriate tertiary qualification or equivalent in structural engineering is essential.
