What You Will Be Doing The Response Assessment Discharge (RAD) team is a dedicated transdisciplinary allied health (AH) team based in the Frankston Emergency Department (ED). The team comprises of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Registered Nurses, each upskilled in allied health competencies within the agreed RAD scope of practice. The role of the RAD team is to undertake allied health assessments and interventions to facilitate discharge for appropriate patients presenting to the Frankston ED (including short stay units) and on occasions to help facilitate after hours ward discharges. Operationally the role will report through to the Nurse Unit Managers (NUMs) of ED and the Operations Director of Emergency Services. Professionally the role will report through to the RAD Senior Clinician, the Director of Allied Health and the relevant Head of each Allied Health discipline.The RAD Team Works as part of the Frankston Emergency Department and their hours of operation are Monday to Sunday, 0730hrs to 2100hrs.
What You Need• Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist or Registered Nurse with current registration through Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).• Current Working with Children’s Check (WWCC) or applying for the same.• Excellent communication skills• Strong capability to utilise digital health systems• Commitment to improving quality and safety of patient care• Current Victorian Drivers Licence• Demonstrated experience in background profession relevant to patents with complex needs and/or chronic health conditions.• Experience working in an acute health care setting• Demonstrated ability to conduct person centered assessments and determine the most appropriate intervention within transdisciplinary and background profession scope of practice• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload effectively• Committed to evidence based practice and own professional development
