This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner to join the team at MDHS, coordinating the community Vaccine Clinic! This position works in collaboration with the Infection Control Coordinator and supports the quality team to achieve organisational outcomes and meet appropriate KPI’s.

Vaccine Clinic Coordinator

Fixed Term Full Time – 80 hours per fortnight

Commencing asap until April 2022

Classification: Nurse Immuniser / Nurse Practitioner – to be negotiate

Award: Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2016-2020

This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner to join the team at MDHS, coordinating the community Vaccine Clinic!  This position works in collaboration with the Infection Control Coordinator and supports the quality team to achieve organisational outcomes and meet appropriate KPI's.

We are looking for someone with the following qualities:

  • Leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation
  • Basic Life Support Certificate

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

Qualifications / Experience

  1. Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  2. Experienced Nurse Immunizer or Nurse Practitioner who has performed these roles.
  3. Demonstrated evidence of commitment to ongoing education and professional development to ensure working within current scope of practice
  4. Ability to clearly articulate behavioural expectations, monitor compliance and provide timely feedback
  5. Ability to set clearly defined objectives and priorities and review and adjust as required

Personal Qualities

  1. High level of interpersonal skills with the capacity to work collaboratively with a diverse range of people,
  2. Demonstrated leadership  experience
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in dealing with sensitive information
  4. Ability to remain calm and in control under pressure
  5. Ability to translate innovative ideas into quality improvements
