About the Role

Are you passionate about shaping the experiences that improve the CFA's ability to attract, on-board and retain volunteers? Join our team as a Volunteer Programs Leader for Recruitment and On-boarding.

The Volunteer Programs Leader is a critical member of the Sustainable Volunteerism leadership team and actively contributes to the strategic direction of volunteerism within a changing emergency services landscape. As a principal subject matter expert and a committed collaborator, the Volunteer Programs Leader will co-design and lead sustainable practice models that reflect contemporary approaches to volunteer recruitment, on-boarding and retention within CFA.

The work of the Volunteer Sustainability team contributes significantly to the sustainability of a strong, diverse and vibrant CFA volunteer membership. The team has responsibility for the design and development of sustainable volunteerism models and frameworks that reflect contemporary practice, build capacity and capability and recognise the contribution of CFA volunteers.

About You

Our ideal candidate will be a dynamic and experienced professional with a tertiary qualification or background in human resources, social sciences, humanities or equivalent. Your proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple complex projects is underpinned by a solid understanding of project management methodologies.

A customer-centric mindset is at the heart of everything you do. You are highly skilled in stakeholder engagement, with the ability to connect seamlessly across internal teams and external partners. Your exceptional written skills further enhance your ability to shape innovative strategies and communicate a clear vision.

Your leadership is marked by the ability to inspire collaboration, achieve shared goals and negotiate successful outcomes. You're adept at developing business cases and managing financial resources effectively, ensuring that initiatives are both impactful and sustainable.
