About the Role

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Will Writer to join our Legal, Wills and Genealogy team. The purpose of this position is to take client instruction, prepare and execute Wills and Enduring Powers of Attorney (EPA), whilst promoting the benefits of State Trustees as Executor.

You will be responsible for cross-selling State Trustees' Estate Planning services and broader organisational services where appropriate. In addition, you will be involved in our Regional Visitation and Home Visitation programs.


  • Meet with clients and take instructions to prepare Will & EPAs
  • Prepare Will & EPAs in accordance with client instructions
  • Identify and refer issues for legal review
  • Arrange and attend appointments relating to Wills & EPAs

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated Will writing and understanding of key legal requirements for validity
  • Well-developed professional communication (written & spoken)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Intermediate computer literacy including use of Microsoft Office

Experience with Chameleon will-writing software and/or knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation relating to Estate Planning services including Trustee Act, Administration and Probate Act, Will Act, Settled Land Act, Victorian Information Privacy Act will be highly regarded
